Community Guidelines

Welcome to Null-1 GG

Our community is built on respect, fair play, and a shared passion for gaming. These guidelines exist to ensure everyone can enjoy their experience on our servers and platforms. By participating in our community, you agree to follow these guidelines.

Remember: Behind every username is a real person. Treat others as you would want to be treated.

1. Respect and Conduct

We have a zero-tolerance policy for:

• Harassment: Targeting, bullying, stalking, or intimidating other players
• Hate Speech: Discrimination or slurs based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic
• Threats: Any threats of violence, harm, doxxing, or malicious action
• Toxicity: Persistent negative behavior that ruins the experience for others
• Doxxing: Sharing personal information about others without consent

Violations in this category will result in immediate and permanent bans without warning.

2. Fair Play

Competitive integrity is essential to our community. The following are strictly prohibited:

• Cheating: Hacks, exploits, x-ray, fly hacks, aimbots, speed hacks, or any unauthorized advantage
• Modified Clients: Clients that provide unfair advantages (minimaps with player locations, cave finders, etc.)
• Exploiting Bugs: Abusing game bugs or glitches instead of reporting them
• Duplication: Item duplication exploits or glitches
• Macros/Automation: Automated playing, auto-clicking, or AFK farming where prohibited

Allowed Modifications

The following are generally permitted:

• OptiFine and performance mods
• Shader packs
• Minimaps showing only terrain (no player/entity radar)
• Cosmetic mods that don't affect gameplay

When in doubt, ask a staff member before using any modification.

3. Content Standards

All content shared on our servers, Discord, and forums must be appropriate:

• No NSFW Content: Explicit sexual content, gore, or disturbing imagery
• No Illegal Content: Piracy, drug promotion, or anything violating laws
• No Spam: Repetitive messages, excessive caps, or message flooding
• No Advertising: Unsolicited promotion of other servers, products, or services
• No Impersonation: Pretending to be staff or other players

In-game builds must also comply with these standards. Offensive builds or signs will be removed, and repeat offenders will be banned.

4. Account Security

Protect your account and our community:

• No Account Sharing: Your account is for your use only
• No Account Trading: Buying, selling, or trading accounts is prohibited
• Secure Credentials: Use strong, unique passwords
• Your Responsibility: You are responsible for all actions taken on your account, regardless of who used it

If your account is compromised, contact staff immediately. However, actions taken by unauthorized users may still result in enforcement actions.

5. Communication Guidelines

Maintain a positive environment in all communications:

• Language: Keep chat family-friendly. Excessive profanity is not allowed.
• English Preference: English is preferred in global chats for moderation purposes. Other languages are welcome in private messages or designated channels.
• Staff Respect: Do not argue with staff in public channels. Use the appeals process for disputes.
• Topics to Avoid: Politics, religion, and other divisive topics in public channels
• Helpful Attitude: Help new players when you can. We were all beginners once.

6. Server-Specific Rules

Minecraft Servers

• Griefing: Destroying or stealing from other players is prohibited on protected servers
• Claim Respect: Respect player claims and boundaries
• Lag Machines: Builds designed to cause server lag are prohibited
• Server Resources: Be mindful of server performance. Clean up unused entities and machines.

Hytale Servers

• Early Access: Understand that data may be reset during early access periods
• Bug Reporting: Report bugs through proper channels rather than exploiting them
• Patience: Be patient with early access limitations and bugs

Discord

• Follow all Discord Terms of Service in addition to our guidelines
• Use appropriate channels for different topics
• Do not ping staff unnecessarily
• Voice chat rules: No ear-rape, soundboards, or voice changers in general channels

7. Streaming and Recording

You are welcome to stream, record, and create content on our servers, subject to the following:

• You may monetize your content (YouTube, Twitch, etc.)
• Attribute Null-1 GG when appropriate (server IP visible is appreciated but not required)
• Other players have privacy rights - blur names if requested
• Content must comply with our Community Guidelines
• We may feature community content (with credit) on our channels

8. Enforcement Actions

We use a graduated enforcement system for most violations:

Severe violations (cheating, harassment, hate speech, threats) may skip directly to temporary or permanent bans without warning.

Staff have discretion to determine appropriate enforcement based on context and severity.

9. Appeals Process

If you believe you were unfairly punished, you may appeal:

1. Wait Period: Wait at least 24 hours before appealing (except for permanent bans)
2. Submit Appeal: Contact us via Discord DM to a staff member or email appeals@null-1.gg
3. Include: Your username, the punishment, and why you believe it should be reconsidered
4. Be Honest: Lying in an appeal will result in denial and potential extended punishment
5. Response Time: Appeals are typically reviewed within 7 days
6. Final Decision: The appeal decision is final. Repeated appeals for the same incident may be ignored.

10. Reporting Violations

Help us maintain a safe community by reporting violations:

• Discord: Use the report function or DM a staff member
• In-Game: Use /report commands where available
• Email: reports@null-1.gg for detailed reports

When reporting, include:

• Username(s) of the player(s) involved
• Date and time of the incident
• Description of what happened
• Evidence (screenshots, videos) when possible

False Reports: Submitting false or malicious reports is a violation and will be punished.

11. Updates to Guidelines

We may update these Community Guidelines at any time. Significant changes will be announced on our Discord and website. Your continued participation in our community constitutes acceptance of any updates.

Staff members may also enforce the "spirit" of these guidelines for situations not explicitly covered.
